Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Varmada(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Vox website at vox.varmada.com and the Vox desktop application (collectively, the “Service”).
Vox is a product of Varmada. This policy supplements the Varmada Privacy Policy, which also applies to your use of the Service. In the event of a conflict, the Varmada Privacy Policy governs.
1. Information We Collect
Desktop Application
Vox performs speech-to-text processing entirely on your device. Your audio is never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to any audio recordings or transcription content.
When you activate a license, we collect your license key and a machine identifier to manage activations. No other personal data is collected by the desktop application.
Website
When you visit our website, we may collect:
- Analytics data — page views, referral source, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location (country/region), campaign parameters, clicks, scroll depth, section views, and session duration. This data is used to understand website performance and is not used to personally identify you.
- Purchase information — when you buy a license, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and transaction details but never see or store your full payment card information.
2. Cookies & Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our website. These tools may place cookies or use similar technologies to collect usage data. We may also use heatmaps and session replay to see how visitors navigate pages; sensitive form fields are not used for product analytics.
Cookies used on this site include:
- Essential cookies — required for checkout and payment processing (set by Stripe).
- Analytics cookies — help us measure site traffic and improve the experience, including referral and campaign attribution.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use or purchase Vox.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process purchases and deliver license keys
- To manage license activations and deactivations
- To improve our website and understand usage patterns
- To respond to support requests
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service — specifically Stripe for payment processing, Cloudflare for hosting and infrastructure, and analytics providers such as PostHog and Microsoft Clarity when enabled. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
License and purchase records are retained as long as your license is active. Analytics retention depends on the configured analytics provider and account settings.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS) for all communications between the Vox application, our website, and our servers.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you deactivate your license, the associated machine identifier is removed from our records.
8. Contact
For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at support@mail.varmada.com.
This policy is part of and subject to the Varmada Privacy Policy and the Vox Terms of Service.
